Sažetak
Optical transmission can be a successful alternative to radio for mobile indoor wireless links. For biomedical mobile telemetry applications a low power consumption and lightweight of a wearable transmitter, together with reliable operation over a wide range are needed. To meet those requirements, implementation of a space diversity system becomes necessary. In this paper, optical power propagation loss for nondirected non-line-of-sight and line-of-sight links that can be employed in the mobile systems are presented. Transmitter power minimization in multireceiver diffuse link is derived. Applicability of common combining methods in such space diversity systems is discussed.
