Sažetak
Vapor–liquid equilibria have been determined in the systems composed of poly(methyl methacrylate) [M.W.: 15000, 35000 and 97000] with butan-2-one by ebulliometric total pressure measurement method. Experiments have been carried out isothermally at several temperature levels below normal boiling point of butan-2-one up to polymer concentrations, which allowed technically a reliable determination of bubble point of the mixture. All-glass micro-ebulliometer with circulation of liquid phase [1] was newly redesigned and tested. The measured data were correlated by means of the UNIQUAC model analogously as in the Polymer Solution Data Collection [2], and compared with the data by Tait et al. [3], which have been measured using the different experimental techniques. Two predictive group contribution models (the Entropic–FV and the GC–Flory EOS) were applied to predict the phase behavior of polymer solutions. Good agreement with experimental data was achieved.
