Sažetak
The purpose of this study was to determine: 1. anaerobic capacity via lactic response 2. metabolic demands of sport, by creating physiological invorment similar to mixed martial arts bout. This research gives us a possible physiological response to sport –specific demands. The study was conducted on a sample of 5 mma competitors. Competitors were taken blood samples from which lactate values were read in four points: before the first round (after warm up), after the first, second and third round respectively. The lactate measurements ranged from 3, 6 mmol/L As ± Sd, before the first round, to 13, 6 ± 2, 1 mmol/L AS ± SD after second round, 15, 6 ± 1, 5 mmol/L AS ± SD after second round, and 14, 4 ± 1, 6 mmol/L after third round. Results showed significant differences were noted in lactate response at the end of first round at level p < 0, 05, post hoc Fisher test, but no increase at the end of second and third round. The results have shown that a significantly higher amount of energy was obtained by anaerobic sources in mixed martial arts. The information about lactate profile presented in this study can be used to develop conditioning programs.
