Sažetak
The situation regarding water supply in Croatia is characterized as unsatisfactory and it has become even worse after the war generated damage. The status and water supply capacities in 1995 are presented. The rewiev is given of the water resources and the impact of pollution on water supply. Basic principles, strategies and objectives of water supply improvement in the scope of the overall environment management and sustainable development activities, are proposed. The article shows the water supply in the metropolitan area of Zagreb.
