Sažetak
Croatia has large available water resources. Surface water from the teritory of Croatia runs towards the Black Sea (60 percent of the national territory) and towards the Adriatic Sea (40 percent of the national territory). The typical area for the water resources in Croatia is the region of karst, which covers 46 percent of the territory of Croatia. This area has some specific hydrological and hidraulic properties which are reflected on the features of water resources. The paper gives the description of the available water resources of Croatia. Assessment of water resources has been made on the basis of regioanl climate and hydrological analyses for the period from 1961. to 1990. The paper also shows the runoff variations in space and time.
