Sažetak
Before the war, in Croatia 63 percent of the population were adequately supplied with drinking water. The condition have been considerably deteriorated as the result of war-related destruction. In the coming years, particulary attention must be paid to provide adequate water supply to the entire population of Croatia. Investments in water supply development programs must be efficient, but it is also necessary to improve the operation and maintenance of the existing system. Water supply should not be consider isolated, but as a part of integrated environment management and development. The paper shows the approaches to the reconstruction and repair of water supply and the measures and actions aiming at its further development.
