Sažetak
The study follows the Lazarus model of psychological stress where personality traits are considered as the main moderator variables in the stress cycle. The research has been carried out in a real industrial setting where job stress has been defined in terms of unfavourable working conditions and shift work. Five personality traits, corresponding to the A-type personality have been chosen and appropriate instruments have been used. For the three variables (risk taking, achievement, independance) statistically significant differences have been found for most of the stress indicators while dimensions activity and responsability proved to be undiscriminative.
