Sažetak
In 1944 Dr. Josip Andrić, distinguished Croatian musicologist born in Bačka, published a nicely decorated monograph in Zagreb, entitled Slovak Music (bearing the subtitle Musical past and present of Slovakia), issued in Croatian language by the "Croatian-Slovak Society". The importance of this book surpasses by far its local frames, since it represents the first monograph dealing with the history of Slovak music in general. The Croats have contributed with numerous important personalities to the history of Slovakia, and vice versa. In this article some details have been provided about this little known book, which had been written with a lots of affection, and of which the Bačka Croats can be proud, and not only them.
