Sažetak
A colostomy is a surgically created opening on the colon to permit the elimination of body wastes. This intervention entails permanent invalidity and mutilation of the body. The patients awarness of having cancer and alteration in his process of elimination that will demand his attention every day, may lead to a severe psychological trauma. The project "Evaluation of Psychopedagogic Rehabilitation Methods in Cancer Patients" was established by the Central Institute for Tumors. In this project the influence of psychoeducational and rehabilitation treatment on some aspects of quality of life was examined in patients with colostomy. Before surgical treatment on the sample of 27 patients (18 men and 9 women) the specificity constructed questionare in 11 variable was applicated. After colostoma was performed, the same questionary was applied again. Testing of hypothesis about positive difference between test-retest results was processed by analysis of variance and discriminative analysis. The results showed statistically significant change in favour of retest talks of successes of rehabilitation technique and psychoeducational program for enhancement of quality of life.
