Daily clinical practise , as well as numerous studies show that the problem of autoagression, and with that the problem of alcohol consuption among youth is increasing and at the present time is very actual.The aim of the study was to determine the frequecy of alcohol use among adolescents in the city of Zagreb, and if the presence of alcoholism in their families was a risk factor for the development of tendency for excessive alcohol consuption.The study was conducted inn 701 subjects both genders, students of the high school in Zgareb ages 14-19.We used structured demographic questionarre and Autodestruction Scale.56.6% students had consumed alchohol without knowledge of their parents, 22, 3%had experienced excessive consumption with boys significantly more often then girls.21, 8%adolescents have fathers who drink very often.Alcohol consumtion among mothers is not statisticaly significant.drink
