Sažetak
Investigations were conducted on low-carbon steel with 0.13% carbon and 0.77% manganese at strain rates in the range of 1.8 • 10-3 s-1 to 1.1 • 10-2 s-1. With static tension test carried out on the testing machine Zwic 50 kN, the thermal imaging camera was used to measure at the same time the temperature changes on the surface of the samples. For all strain rates it was found that in the elastic deformation region the temperature of samples decrease, due to the thermoelastic effect. From the results of investigations it can be seen that increase of the strain rate effect on the temperature change, and with increase in strain rate there is also an increase in negative temperature changes.
