Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to present bibliometric analysis of scientific papers indexed in bibliographic databases of scientists in the field of information sciences in Croatia. Croatian National Science Council adopted new Regulation on conditions for advancement in academic ranks which brings significantly altered conditions for scientists in information sciences in Croatia. For the evaluation of highly valuable scientific papers in the field of information sciences it is proposed to use bibliographic database Web of Science. The problem is represented by low percentage of indexed scientific papers in the field of information sciences in Web of Science. Only 2.6% of the total number of scientific papers in the field of information sciences is indexed in Web of Science. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to show poor correlation between the number of papers in Croatian Scientific Bibliography database with a number of papers indexed by Web of Science.
