Sažetak
Renal oncocytoma is very rare solid tumor with incidence of about 3% of all solid tumors of the kidney. Randomly revealed during examination of kidney by imaging methods (often ultrasound of the kidney) and it has non specific symptoms or laboratory tests. It does not have any specific characteristics of the ultrasound findings to support the differential diagnosis of tumor to other kidney. This paper presents a case of asymptomatic 62-year-old man with normal renal function and urine findings to whom it was originally verified neoplasm by ultrasound examination of the kidney and later by CT examination. Diagnosis of oncocytoma was supported by histopathological and immunohistochemical studies after nephrectomy. Starting ultrasound view of the affected kidney was pointing to benign lesion due to the good narrowness of the surrounding renal tissue with central heterogeneity of ultrasound echo.This is one of three proven oncocytoma neoplasm in the last 30 years in the Department of Urology in General County Hospital Pozega.
