Sažetak
Engineering is an important and learned profession, which has a direct and vital impact on the quality of life for all people. Engineers have to be aware of the fact that by using available engineering technologies it is possible to provide abundance for all human beings, but also to destroy all life on Earth. Accordingly, engineers should be committed to improving the environment to enhance the quality of life and to sustain the balance in nature. They shall hold the safety, health and welfare of the public as paramount, and strive to comply with the principles of sustainable development.
