Sažetak
This study covers 91 projects in the field of biology funded by Croatian Ministry of Science and Technology during 1991-1996. The projects were carried out by 21 research units. Scientific productivity was measured by the number of publications index in two most important databases, SCI-Science Citation Index and Biosis. Biological Abstracts. Rudjer Bošković Institute and Faculty of Food Science and Technology were the most productive institutions. On the other hand, 23% projects did not result in any published papers indexed in SCI. 6, 5% projects did not published any papers covered by Biosis, which is much broader database compare to SCI.37% selected scientists as principal investigators during the mentioned period are without SCI-index papers.
