Sažetak
Corrosion of reinforcement in concrete has long been a major problem around the world. Different kinds of protection systems to protect the reinforcement are available and used today. The most recent technology is the application of Migrating Corrosion Inhibitors, (MCI's).
Recently a whole range of methods has been developed to assess the effectiveness of the migrating corrosion inhibitors. Different electrochemical and non-electrochemical methods are being used to give a better understanding of migrating corrosion inhibitors performance. In this paper an overview of these methods and the procedures for each are described. Examples of the assessment of migrating corrosion inhibitor effectiveness, based on the testing results, are also described.
