Sažetak
The handbook is an overview of children's literature through the centuries. After covering the end of the book, students are advised to refer to the cover of the book in order to find information about the plot. Most paperbacks have a short synopsis of the story inside the front cover or at the back cover. Sometimes there are biographical information about the author or reviews of the book which can help establish the basic information about the context. Illustrations on covers can also provide helpful clues about the story. Also, the front matter includes the date of publication, which can in case of contemporary fiction help readers place the book into the appropriate time frame. The information gained in the process of schema building should give the readers enough information to allow the full enjoyment of the book.
