Through the economic literature and business practice we recognize entrepreneurs and managers as creators of strategic decision of the company. They are individuals who can, with their strategic and operational decisions, direct companies to different goals and different ways of doing business. Their everyday decisions determine business culture within the enterprise, as well as the functioning of the enterprise at the market. The aim of this paper is to analyze the empirical research and to identify which managerial methods do entrepreneurs and managers consider most important, and what are the methods of management that defines them and their companies. The survey wants to contribute to the knowledge of management style as a source of competitive advantage, but also as a way of shaping a modern and successful entrepreneurs and managers. The survey represented to the respondents seven possible managerial methods and responders needed to determine, using a Likert scale of 1-5, how these methods relate to them and their companies. The empirical study was done by a questionnaire on a sample of Croatian companies.
