Sažetak
The puropse of this study was to evaluate is there any difference in rCBF between three groups - female PTSD patients, male PTSD patients and controls. SPECT with 99mTc-ECD was used in 10 female patients, 17 male patients and 12 control patients. Unlike control subjects, both groups of PTSD patients revealed regions of pathologically increased regional cerebral blood flow, mostly in the left amygdal/nucleus accumbens and left basal ganglia, with no significant differences in rCBF between female and male group of PTSD patients.
