Sažetak
The load-bearing mechanism of trapeziodal profiled thin-walled beams exposed to bending action is manifested throught the occurence of local buckling at the flat unstiffened portion of the cross section in compression. When determining the load-bearing capacity of trapeziodal profiled thin-walled beams subjected to bending influence, the occurence of local buckling is taken into account by introducing the notion of effective width. Instead of the gross cross section, the effective cross section is observed. The behavior of thin-walled beams subjected to bending is considered for various positions of the trapezoidal cross section. Values of cross sectional resistance are compared with the corresponding values obtained by laboratory testing. The influence of position along the cross section on the bearing capacity and deflection of thin-walled beams subjected to bending load is analyzed.
