Sažetak
The lecture focuses on the impact the exclusion of some in favour of other ecclesiological concepts has on the position of women, namely, on the power of assigning an ecclesiological discourse regardless of what it exegetical, patristic and historical foundation is. The first and second parts of the lecture dwell on precepts of the meaning, genesis and characteristics of contemporary standard, dominant and operative ecclesiology and possibilities of developing a new ecclesiology based on Franciscan philosophical- theological tradition which would be more in line with contemporary theological and social-natural sciences (com. Kenan Osborne, A Theology of the Church for the Third Millennium: A Franciscan Approach). The third part of the lecture expounds the tenet that contemporary standard, dominant and operative ecclesiology which determines the position of women in the Church is based on the idea of the Apostolic-Peter and Marian aspects of the Church (John Paul II, MD Vii, 27). The consequences of an ecclesiology conceived along these lines on the position of women in the Church are presented through some examples from Croatia. The concluding part of the lecture points to the necessity of a new theology of the Church which would enable the consistent participation of women in leading church services.
