Sažetak
Graphic representation of phenomena in nature is not adequate for determination of their correlation and for predicting future trends. Prolonged storage of data in the database and in the data warehouse can serve as a basis for data mining and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) analysis, in order to discover the hidden knowledge and/or hidden principles behind those phenomena. In this paper we would like to present how in case of lesser amount of data, which is not stored in three or more dimensions (cube or hypercube), one can, by using various mathematical analytical methods, find the most appropriate regression model, which would describe and explain interdependence of observed phenomena and would predict future trends. Here is shown the possibility of using applicative mathematical software “Logger Pro” in regression analysis and the comparison of thus given results with the results got by classic mathematical methods.
