Sažetak
The paper deals with the market segments in construction and related activities, taking into account the specificities of these undertakings ; defines the essential construction activities as well as features of their actions. In this sense, the author notes that this particularly applies to the planning, construction and assembly work. Specifics of these activities require a different approach to defining market segments. Therefore, the primary analyzes enterprise environment and its impact on certain types of construction activities. Based on previous research, the author advocates a fundamentally different approach to market segmentation especially for the project, particularly for construction and assembly work. The actuality of the paper comes from stressing the need for greater engagement of these activities, bearing in mind all the sharper competition and globalization processes.
