Sažetak
Denim garment during finishing is subjected to various treatments with a range of agents giving it a new look and fashionable appearance. Important elements for successful and attractive special effects require a synergy between creative ideas and technological implementation. One of the basic aims when creating special effects should be the preservation of the textile material characteristics. This paper deals with special effects achieved using novel agents when finishing denim fabric. Their impacts were evaluated concerning breaking force, spectral characteristics and surface appearance. The results obtained indicate significant differences among modern special treatments, thus providing important data on the processing of denim.
