Sažetak
The breeders of Agricultural Institute Osijek have tradition and continuity in creation winter wheat cultivars better farming properties. In year 1997 five new winter wheat cultivars created at Agricultural Institute Osijek officially approved. In this paper were investigated rheological properties new winter wheat cultivars that approved in 1997: Super Žitarka, Božica, Golubica, Kata and Barbara. Investigations performed 1996 and 1997. Farinograph and extensograph were computerizing and computer software then calculated specific value (times, heights, widths, slopes and areas) who early measured manually, and made possible comparison with standard. Cultivar Žitarka has been officially standard by Croatien Committee for Approval of Agricultural Crop Varieties. Investigations of rheological properties of new winter wheat cultivars performed during two years, showed that four cultivars (except Božica) had a high water absorption (>60%) such as Žitarka. Longer development time and better stability than Žitarka (3.8 and 1.55 mm) had cultivar Golubica, whereas for the other cultivars these rheological properties were good, but lower than standard. The result of extensographic investigations showed that lower resistance than Žitarka (201 FU) had only cultivar Kata, while extensibility and area for all cultivars were higher than standard (155mm and 53cm2).
