Sažetak
The chapter examines to which extent exporting EU energy policies and institutions in energy sector can be effective in balancing commercial, political and social interest in neighbouring regions. The neighbouring regions that are in focus of the paper are candidates and potential candidates from South East Europe, Eastern Neighbours and Mediterranean neighbours. The starting hypothesisi is that strategic and geopolitical importance of neighbouring regions in providing access to energy sources and diversifying routes could, with time, serve as a basis for definig and promoting their regional interests.
