Sažetak
The principles of excellence in construction management are explained using the case of company The Technit Group - Tenova, Italy. The key information about IPMA competence model in project management are presented. In the central part the paper deals with relationship between the excellence in construction management and construction project performance. The role of project management is focused, so as use of competences and supportive tools. The special attention is given to behavioural competences, namely reliability, consistency, passion, commitment, persistency, creativity and multicultural diversity.
