Sažetak
The main global trend is ‘Healthcare Informatization’, and the main goals of Healthcare information system according to “Healthcare development strategy” and ”Information and communication technology” following the strategy of “Croatia in the 21st century” are: (1) Reduce and rationalize the system of collection of healthcare information on all levels and construct the strategy of adjusting all Croatian healthcare information systems to one another, (2) Review the methodology and the scope of healthcare-statistical data, (3) Introduce modern principles of database administration containing healthcare and economical indicators for entire healthcare, (4) Improve the structure of healthcare information system with the purpose of stronger system consolidation, (5) Experimental and routine application of healthcare surveys in tracking the patient condition, behavior and their use of healthcare services.
