Sažetak
This paper will offer an overview of the results of various research programs which were carried out in the Institute for Rehabilitation of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and University Childrens Hospital (Department of Oncology) in Zagreb, in collaboration with Department of Motility Disturbances and Chronic Diseases and Department of Art-therapies and Sociotherapies at the Faculty of the Applied Educational and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Zagreb. Music, poetry, dramas, drawing, body-symbolisation / dance, painting
were used in the frame of Creative Therapy with the aim to improve functional abilities in the subjects and to facilitate their expression of inner experiences by new signs and symbols. The emphasis was on the actualisation of creative potentials and therapeutic catharsis as well as self-regulation of biodynamic and psychosocial processes related to experience of self. The results will be presented in the light of paradigmatic significance underlying the biopsychosocial and holistic approaches to health and illness
