Sažetak
The technological aspects of design of printed products starts with the definition of the chain of the graphic reproduction which is determined by the type, the category and the edition of the printed product. This includes implicitly optimal technological solutions with using the disposable equipment for the product with the demanded quality and getting the highest profit. The article deals with the defining of the notions for description and the categorize of the concrete printed product - book and presents the defining of the chain of the graphic reproduction (and alternatives in reproduction steps). This results with the expert knowledges for the optimal chain of the graphic reproduction (from the ilustration and the text to the final product) and choice of the materials for the concrete product (books). This can be the base for making the corresponding knowledge basis and the expert system.
