Sažetak
INTRODUCTION: Adiponectin signa lization is recognized as an important step in lipid metabolism, energy consumption, anti-infla mmatory reactions and cell proliferation. Adiponectin secreted by adipocytes, acts through its receptors ADIPOR1 and ADIPOR2, latter can be found in skeletal muscle, liver and placenta. We aim to study the difference of ADIPOR2 expression in hepatic tissue of ra t offspring depending on their diet and the diet during pregnanc y and lactation. METHODS: Ten Sprague Da wley female rats were at the age of 21 days divided in two groups – one was fed high with fat diet (HFD – 86 % lard, 8 % minerals, 6 % proteins), and the other one with standard laboratory ch ow (CD). At the age of 12 weeks the rats were mated, and their offspring were by the e nd of lactation (age of 21 days) randomly divided in two groups (HFD2 and CD2) and thus exposed to different diets. After sacrifice, at 40 weeks of age, liver samples were taken a nd using immunohi stochemistry we determined ADIPOR2 expression. RESULTS: In rats fed with high fat diet ADIPOR2 expression was increased compared to control group. CONCLUSION: Adiponectin, and its signalling an d receptors, which have not been fully researched, could have a protective role in obesity related to liver disease. KEYWORDS: obesity, adiponectin, hepatic tissue, high-fat diet
