Sažetak
The paper deals with choices that are left to professional sports clubs as to their legal form and incorporation. The emphasis is on the interplay between the autonomy of a sports club to choose their legal form and the mandatory requirements of the state. After introductory part, the author analyses the notion of sports activity and then the sports activity of participation in sport competitions and the legal form of activities performance. The author more closely elaborates on the sports association for competition and the sports joint stock company. Finally the author critically the regulation and operation of professional and amateur sports clubs and concludes with the autonomy and regulation in sports.
