Sažetak
The aim of the work was to find out if there is noticeability of passer error in dependence on the quality of the printing material, screen ruling and screen kind. The work comprised the testing of prints by visual control. The same motives were printed with different screen kinds (round and oval) with different screen rulings (40, 60 and 80 l/cm) and on different kinds of paper (fine art paper, offset paper and recycled paper) with the intentionally simulated passer errors. Such prints were cut and divided in groups and given to the students at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, at the University of Zagreb for visual evaluation. Analysis of the obtained results of visual evaluation of print quality shows that the noticeability of passer error depends on the quality of the printing material , screen ruling and screen kind. The tests showed that the noticeability of error was less with oval screen than with round screen, and the noticeability of passer error grows with the quality of the printing material and the screen ruling.
