Sažetak
Transcervical resection of uterine septum was successfully performed using 9-mm continuous-flow hysteroscopic resectoscope in 13 patients with reproductive pregnancy loss in anamnesis, 2 primarily sterile patients and in one patient wothout reproductive problems. Out od these 16 patients, one had a complete uterine septum with haemathometra, and another had a uterus didelphys. All other patients had an uterine septum that sized at least 1/3 of the cavity. Reproductive history in 13 patients included 34 spontaneous abortions in the first and second trimester of pregnancy, 2 preterm deliveries, and 4 term deliveries before secundary infertility. Neither intraoperative, nor postoperative complications occurred, so we conclude that it is a safe and efficient method when performed under laparoscopic surveillance. Control hysteroscopy, performed 6 to 8 weeks later, showed no intrauterine adhesions, but to evaluate the reproductive success of the procedure, prolonged follow-up is manadatory.
