Sažetak
Workplace design and methods of work are investigated for the operation of sewing the shoulder seam, performed at the workplace equipped with special sewing machine MAUSER SPECIAL 9652-134/04-233W. The operation belongs, by its complexity and the level of loading the operator, into a dominant group of technological operations. The analysis of the recorded operation reveals that the work is performed with a forced posture of the head and spine in front flexion. The workplace used at the moment is not designed following ergonomic principles, as regarding the static ergonomic characteristics of the operator, which results in an improper working posture, with high ratio of workload. Based on the analysis performed, the workplace has been redesigned and suggestions given of more favourable working method, which includes more favourable working posture, with lower workload and lower fatigue, resulting in higher productivity of the workplace. The software package ERGOPlan, offering a 3D simulation of the workplace, has been used to analyse and redesign the workplace
