Sažetak
Researchers in the field and interested members of the public, supported by official statistics, have observed that the measures adopted have failed to produce any significant improvements in the field. 1. Anti-discrimination measures have proved to be ineffective in terms of achieving a balanced representation of women and men in political life. 2. Rather than the anti-discrimination legislation, regime change in the broader sense in the new millennium has in fact played a more significant role in achieving a more balanced representation, descriptively (numbers) as well as symbolically.
