Sažetak
When input traffic of an ATM switch contains cells with several loss priority classes, it is necessary to determine cell loss thresholds within the buffer in a way that cell loss requirements can be satisfied. Then it is also very useful to define an optimal position of multiple loss thresholds for the fixed load. This paper presents an optimization algorithm for searching optimal position of multiple loss thresholds for the fixed load. It also covers analytical simulation results of four-priority class buffer controlled by partial buffer sharing scheme.
