Sažetak
It often happens that, on one of the prominent locations in a modern town, an item originating from distant prehistory is discovered. It also happens that life continued in the same location or in its vicinity in a subsequent era, because human experience was capable of recognizing the advantages of the locality for permanent settlement. Nonetheless, on the global level, there is hardly any settlement that has been continuously used for living, ever since the first human settlements were established. Vinkovci is a global exception.
