Sažetak
In a study with an age heterogeneous sample of Croatian adults, N. J. Finkel’s typology of unfairness was used to examine the data on instances of unfairness provided by the respondents. As indicated by the intercoder agreement and the low frequency of instances in the miscellaneous category, the categorization scheme was fairly clear and inclusive. However, differences with respect to previous research findings were observed for the major unfairness categories ranking as well as for some additional variables such as the salience of personal unfairness and the blaming for unfairness. While providing some support for the cross-cultural validity of the typology, the overall pattern of this study results points to the contextual (e.g., societal) factors that need to be considered to provide a comprehensive and viable account of commonsense unfairness across the societies and cultures.
