Sažetak
Despite the constant presence of Poreč botanic garden story in local monographs, books and among locals’, history and circumstances that lead to Poreč botanic garden establishment and decline were never completely clarified. The aim of this research was to find evidences of its existence, determine place and time of its origin, identify meritorious persons and explain circumstances threatening the loss of the garden’s last remains. Obtained results have finally ascertained that Poreč had a botanic garden a century ago, and point out the urgent need of its preservation and restoration.
