Sažetak
The Plitvice Lakes National Park is a natural monument registred in the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Part of this area are also 18 smaller rural settlements located on newly cleared land or near the water. In area planning we afirm the value of the cultural landscape and rural settlements as equal factors shaping the whole area. By giving priority to the natural phenomenon, attempts are made to preserve the rural area and integrate it into the unigue functional whole of the Park in an ecological sense.
