Sažetak
After hematopoietic stem cell transplantation infections represent a major cause of morbidity and mortality (about 20%). The Major factors affecting the risk of infection are the transplant type, the pretransplant characteristics & conditioning, the donor type, the graft type, the HLA match and the occurrence of chronic graft versus host disease (GVHD).
