Sažetak
In this study, response of maize to liming was shown. The field trial with hydratized calcite (73% CaO + 2%-3% MgO + 21% of bound water) applications in four amounts (0, 3.5, 7.0 and 14 t ha-1) was started in spring of 2011 on pseudogley soil. The trial was conducted in four blocks divided in four subplots of 72.5 m2 which represented four replicates. Maize hybrid OsSk 596 was grown in 2011. Using the highest rate of lime resulted by yield increase for 12% (0.71 t ha-1) compared to the control. The growing season 2011 was less favourable for maize growing because of water shortage and higher air-temperature, what could be the reason for little differences between control and treatments.
