Sažetak
The information that are transferred from remote power substation to its supervision and control center consists mainly from analog data (i.e. metering). Since there are ways to control and reduce the amount of analog data (by degrading the quality), the overall data traffic can be controlled as well and that can be particularly important in low-bandwidth environment or for estimation of operators information fatigue. This paper presents a pilot research that was conducted on a medium scale power substation; it presents the approach to the analysis of analog data dynamics and the results that were obtained. Obtained results show that the transferred data depend upon their origin, upon deadband settings and upon observed time period.
