Sažetak
Determination of acid-base/blood gases values(pO2, pCO2 and pH)is animportant component of routine clinical biochemistry. To establish the connection and reliability of blood sampling, we analised acid-base/blood gases parameters in rest taken from arterial and arterialized capillary blood(fingertip and ear lobe)in group of patient with Chronical Obstructive Lung Disease(COLD), n=30, mean age 44(range 30-50 years) and 30 healthy individuals, mean age 42(range 30-50 years). The samples were analysed on 1306 pH/Blood Gas Analyzer(Instumentation Laboratory, USA).High level of linear correlation of pO2 from arterial blood and pO2 from capillary blood taken from ear lobe(0.78), and between arterial blood and capillary blood from fingertip(0.68) was found in control group.pH showed high level of correlation between arterial and both capillary samples(0.90).The data obtained from pCO2 of arterial blood showed statisticaly higher level of correlation with fingertip(0.67)and ear lobe(0.70)in a control group. On the contrary lower level of linear correlation was found in the group of COLD patient ; forpO2(0.52) ; pCO2(0.40) and pH(fingertip and ear lobe 0.60 and 0.58 respectively). We canconclude that acid-base/blood gases parameters in rest should be determined in arterial blood.
