Sažetak
At the beginner` s level, reading as a language activity is mostly examined as a skill. Howevwr, pupils` reading interests, especially their literary interests, are examined at higher levels of literature and language education in primary and secondary schools. In this paper, the author shows the results of a survey of students` reading interests in non-literary texts. The results show the significance and value of using non-literary texts systematically in language teaching, ecpecially for developing and honing the reading ability.
