Sažetak
The chapter explored the impact of private tutoring on educational and social inequalities. First, an analysis of educational stakeholders’ perspectives on the differences in access and affordability, patterns of PT use and function of PT for pupils from different socio-economic backgrounds is provided. The second section explores the stakeholders’ perspectives on the implication of attending PT for pupils’ attainment and achievement at various educational levels in the formal education system. Finally, the last section explores stakeholders’ perceptions of the relevance of social equity issues in relation to the PT phenomenon and their personal willingness and capacity to deal with these issues.
