Sažetak
Many epidemiological surveys revealed the association of psoriasis and metabolic syndrome (MS). Some reports even suggest that psoriasis is an independent risk factor of cardiovascular incident. According to the recently published systematic review and meta-analysis (Armstrong AW, JAAD 2013), psoriasis patients have higher prevalence of MS when compared with the general population, and patients with more severe psoriasis have greater odds of MS than those with milder psoriasis. Our aim was to investigate the prevalence of MS among the psoriasis patients in a nationally representative cross-sectional sample.
