Sažetak
Supplier selection problem is of vital importance for operation of every firm because the solution of this problem directly and substantially affects costs also in non-economic activities (public services). This paper will try to confirm this on the example of meat purchase optimisation for the city of Split kindergartens. Numerous suppliers and the possibility of quantity discounts offered by some of them provide remarkable choice possibilities, which can ultimately result in substantial cuts in food cost.
