Furthermore, sport offer the possibility for get to know national culture and local identity, based on a history and available natural resource and attractions. Synergy between sport and tourism has a major economic impact, contributing to the economy, employment and development. Sport event tourism refers to the visitors who visit the destination, with the purpose of watching the events. The Superbike World Championships have had incresing success throughout recent years, and shows progress and development year after year, as a big sport and tourism ivents. Europe is the championship’s leading centre, with rounds in all the most important countiries (Italy, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Czeck Republic) while other Rounds are also held in other key overseas countiries such as Australia, South Africa and the Unated States. FIM Superbike World Championship machines are derived from road bikes, but rules allow a certain amount of freedom and technical development. The Championship is regulated by the FIM (FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE MOTOCYCLISME), the world’s motocycle governig body, is managed and promoted by Infront Motor Sports, in evry country suported by national and local government and tourism destination organisations and companies. These type of sports events should be well covered by the media, that means, destination management should meet the usual requirements of media (especially the world famous), to promote the destination through the time of the sports events and subsequent broadcast via the accompanying reports. Great economic and promotion significance for the event have sponsors, and exhibitors of specific auto-motors equipment or services. Therefore the race organizer or destination management are obligate to provide adequate space for such action. Sports tourism in general requires a high level of professionalism, but undoubtedly contributes to the promotion of tourist destinations, region and country, provides economic prosperity and a better quality of life in the destination.
